We are seeking an Associate Reporter to cover the European LPG and petrochemical markets for the OPIS Europe pricing team. In this entry-level role, you will be trained to produce daily price assessments, news, and analytical content. The position reports to the Journalism Managing Editor.

  • Produce Daily Price Assessments: Accumulate and verify spot market price transactions from industry participants to create accurate daily price assessments that adhere to OPIS pricing methodology.

  • Develop Content and News: Cultivate industry sources to write stories for our real-time news service, author analytical content focusing on industry trends, and contribute to webinars and podcasts.

  • Promote Benchmarks: Support the regional and global teams in promoting OPIS price assessments to the marketplace so they are accepted and utilized as benchmark references, which includes occasional travel to industry events.

  • 0-2 years of experience, making this an ideal entry-level opportunity.

  • Demonstrated interest in the commodity markets with the ability to quickly analyze data, market drivers, and complex regulatory issues.

  • Proficiency in Excel and working with spreadsheets.

  • Experience in Power BI or a coding language such as Python is a nice-to-have.

  • Fluency in additional languages.
