Be part of the team responsible for producing first-class live events and experiences for Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s Group. The Dow Jones Events team produces events of all shapes, sizes and formats across in-person, virtual and hybrid environments, bringing our brands to life for our members, clients and colleagues. At the heart of it all is live journalism, connecting our audiences with newsmakers and big ideas through ambitious experiences.

As an Events Coordinator based in Hong Kong, you will support the planning and delivery of events across the Dow Jones APAC portfolio. Working closely with Event Producers, Managers and cross-functional stakeholders, you will play an important role in coordinating the operational and logistical delivery of events and ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees, clients, speakers and colleagues.

You will take ownership of defined event workstreams and contribute across the full event lifecycle, from initial planning and supplier coordination through to onsite delivery and post-event activity. This is an opportunity for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented event professional to build their experience across event production while working with a global team and a range of Dow Jones brands and audiences.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management and communication skills, an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a collaborative team player who is comfortable working with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and partners across APAC.

  • Support the planning and delivery of live, virtual and hybrid events across the Dow Jones APAC events portfolio.
  • Create and maintain event project plans, schedules, timelines and key deliverables in partnership with Event Producers.
  • Support venue research, site visits, supplier coordination and event platform research and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate event logistics including registration, attendee communications, speaker requirements, travel, materials and onsite arrangements.

  • Secure and maintain event collateral including speaker biographies, photographs, presentations and other required materials.
  • Support event marketing and communications activity, ensuring event information and attendee communications are accurate and delivered according to agreed timelines.
  • Maintain accurate attendee and event information within event management systems and other relevant platforms.
  • Assist with event budgets, purchase orders, invoices, supplier documentation and financial reconciliation.
  • Provide onsite event support including venue set-up, registration, attendee engagement, speaker support and event operations.
  • Contribute to post-event reporting, capturing attendee feedback, operational learnings and insights to help improve future events.
  • Conduct industry, audience and competitor research to support event planning and development.
  • Oversee event inventory and ensure equipment, materials and assets are appropriately tracked and managed.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across Dow Jones and the wider APAC region.
  • Support additional events, projects and initiatives across the Events portfolio as required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in event planning, event production, experiential marketing, hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience supporting the planning and delivery of live events, conferences, meetings or customer experiences.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • An understanding of the event planning lifecycle and a desire to develop broader end-to-end event production experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt effectively to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, suppliers and partners.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across a matrixed organisation and with teams across Marketing, Sales, Editorial, Programming, Sponsorship and other business functions.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with event management or project management platforms is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel within APAC and work onsite at events as required.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a high-performing global events team.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is preferred; and knowledge of Japanese language a plus.
