Responsibilities

→Act as project technical lead for exchange upgrades, migrations and mandated changes including events such as: JPX Arrowhead upgrades, HKEX backbone network upgrade, ASX 24 platform replacement, etc.
→Analyze exchange communications or specifications to ensure optimal implementation and relay key technical details to appropriate internal stakeholders.
→Collaborate with operations team to maintain repository of exchange documents and documentation of special cases, eg: European HFT registration requirements, Self-Match Prevention
→Maintain catalog of colocation and exchange connectivity dependencies for DRW entities and PB/FCM relationships.
→Partner with our business management team to improve onboarding of new trading desks and trading opportunities.
→Manage relationships with exchange technology representatives; obtain detailed information about exchange technology and coordinate "deep dive" sessions as necessary.
→Identify Datacenter Optimizations to increase trading efficiency.
→Engage with in-house software providers and trading desks.
→Guide implementation of trading systems, focusing on technology, clearing, location and cost.
→Help ensure that each new trade and each exchange change will satisfy our compliance processes.
→Craft monitoring tools and automation for many dynamic tasks.

Requirements

5-10+ years of experience working with regional equity, futures, and options exchanges' technology counterparts
Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
Deep understanding of many exchange market data and order entry protocols – both binary and FIX
Exposure to relevant market colocation facilities.
Familiarity with the many financial instruments and asset classes across the trading estate.
Detailed understanding of exchange order processing/matching and market data distribution topologies
Strong networking background, with experience in packet captures, Layer 1 devices, Unicast and Multicast communications.
Significant Linux experience.
Proficiency with Exchange portals and APIs
Proficient in various scripting languages
Must be very detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
