This job will support our headquarters office location in Maryland.

 

Summary:

The Technical Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving technology strategy, solution delivery, and operational excellence in alignment with company goals. This role partners closely with Business Development (BD) and Proposal teams, providing subject matter expertise in AI solutions, software development, technical solutioning, and systems integration during capture and proposal efforts. Ideal candidates are seasoned technical leaders who thrive in dynamic environments, excel at client engagement, and have a proven record in capture, proposal strategy, and delivering innovative technology solutions.

What You Will Get to Do:

 In addition to general technical directorial skills, candidates must have the following:

 Technical Leadership

  • Define and oversee technical strategy and execution across programs and proposals.
  • Lead design and delivery of AI-driven solutions, enterprise software, and system integrations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in emerging technologies, shaping innovative client solutions.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with BD teams to identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities.
  • Lead technical solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, white papers, and AI/software-focused pursuits.
  • Build and maintain strong client, partner, and stakeholder relationships.

Proposal Development

  • Lead technical volumes, ensuring AI, software, and system solutions align with client needs and win themes.
  • Partner with capture, pricing, and SMEs to develop compliant, compelling proposals.
  • Present technical and software solutions during orals and client briefings.

Team Mentorship

  • Mentor engineers, software developers, and solution architects, fostering innovation and excellence.
  • Support hiring and talent development across AI, software, and technical teams.



Qualifications You Will Bring:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years in technical leadership, preferably in federal or enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, proposal strategy, and delivery of AI and software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, RFP structures, and government contracting.
  • Expertise in software development lifecycles, AI/ML frameworks, capture planning, technical writing, and proposal tools.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting IDIQs, GWACs, or large multi-award contracts.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, GovWin, SharePoint, MS Teams, and modern AI/software development collaboration tools.
