Position Overview

The Senior Consultant – MQ Programming will serve as a technical expert responsible for the design, development, and automation of IBM MQ-based messaging solutions. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining MQ-related applications, automation frameworks, and configuration scripts that support enterprise messaging infrastructure.

The consultant will work closely with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure MQ integrations and automation processes align with enterprise development standards and deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities

Role includes but may not be limited to subject matter expertise and delivery in: 

    1    MQ design, development, coding and adherence to Wells Fargo DevOps standards.
    2    MQ administrative APIs. 
    3    Configuration scripts.
    4    Language specific skills (e.g. Java, Python, other) for automation scripts new development and modification to existing scripts. Exact language skills will be provided by Wells Fargo.  
    5    Automation of configuration through for consistent deployment on varied objects (e.g. appliances, containers, managed cloud instances, infrastructure??'as??'code).

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong experience in IBM MQ development and programming

  • Expertise in MQ APIs and messaging integration patterns

  • Experience with automation scripting and configuration management

  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or similar languages

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience working with enterprise-scale messaging environments
