The Fitness Center Attendant will create and strengthen relationships with members that add value to their membership and enhance their sense of belonging and community within the facility. Under the direction of the Fitness Center Supervisor, the attendant provides a positive and welcoming exercise experience while maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

- Greeting and assisting members and guests in person and over the phone
- Promoting positive member relations and addressing customer needs with professionalism
- Helping members learn how to use equipment safely and effectively
- Providing beginner-level instruction on warm-ups, aerobic conditioning, strength training, and cool-down routines
- Referring members to personal trainers for individualized support
- Promoting proper facility conduct and enforcing safety guidelines
- Ensuring the Fitness Center is clean, safe, and fully operational
- Assisting with equipment maintenance and reporting any problems to the supervisor
- Encouraging member involvement and program renewal
- Attending staff meetings and contributing to special fitness events
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and following all safety procedures
- Representing DTPD with professionalism and excellent customer service
What You Bring
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months
- Basic knowledge of health, fitness, and exercise techniques
- Familiarity with standard fitness equipment
- Physical ability to demonstrate equipment use and proper exercise form
- Clear communication skills: Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
- Willingness to attend trainings and follow all district safety and conduct policies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, based on availability

Schedule
This is a part-time, hourly, year-round position.
- Schedule depends on availability
- Weekend and holiday shifts may be required
