Join Our Team as a Lifeguard!

Are you an early riser who loves the water? The Dundee Township Park District is looking for enthusiastic and dependable Lifeguards with morning and daytime availability between 5:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

If you enjoy working with people, being part of a team, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for our guests, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

As a Lifeguard, you’ll:

• Ensure the safety of all pool guests by enforcing rules and responding quickly to emergencies.
• Build positive relationships with guests and provide a welcoming and friendly environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility, including pool decks, locker rooms, and surrounding areas.
• Implement StarGuard procedures when needed.
• Support the Pool Management team with additional duties and responsibilities.
• Represent the Dundee Township Park District’s mission by delivering excellent community service and creating positive experiences for all.

Who You Are

You’re a proactive team player with:

• A passion for water safety and community engagement.
• The ability to stay calm, think quickly, and make sound decisions in emergencies.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
• The physical ability to swim 200 yards, tread water for 2 minutes, and retrieve a 10-lb brick from a 12-ft depth.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A minimum age of 15 years old. A work permit is required if under 16 years of age.

Schedule

• We are currently seeking Lifeguards with availability between 5:30 AM and 2:00 PM.
• A set schedule will be provided.
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on facility needs.
