~1 min readThe Non-Traditional Fundraising Project Manager will drive national online fundraising efforts by developing and managing large-scale campaigns while supporting field staff and volunteers. This position emphasizes innovation, scalability, and revenue growth across Ducks Unlimited’s digital fundraising platforms. This role does not have direct supervisory responsibility but will lead cross-functional project execution and support.
The Non-Traditional Fundraising Project Manager will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of Ducks Unlimited’s national online fundraising initiatives, including:
- Developing and executing national fundraising strategies for online auctions, raffles, sweepstakes, and virtual events
- Designing and building high-performing digital fundraising campaigns across DU platforms
- Leading sports-based fundraising initiatives (e.g., brackets, survivor pools, pick’em games, and other engagement-driven programs)
- Creating and managing campaign promotion plans across email, social media, web, and partner channels
- Collaborating with internal teams, sponsors, and partners to grow participation and revenue
- Establishing and maintaining national fundraising calendars, campaign schedules, and products.
- Monitoring campaign performance and optimization based on data, trends, and user behavior
- Managing all aspects of post-campaign fulfillment, reporting, and analysis
- Assisting in designing and implementing new fundraising concepts, tools, and strategies to expand Ducks Unlimited’s digital fundraising portfolio
- This role does not have direct supervisory responsibility but will lead cross-functional project execution and support.
Requirements
~1 min read- A 4-year degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising, digital marketing, or e-commerce preferred
- Strong knowledge of online fundraising platforms, social media, and digital campaign execution
- Experience with or interest in sports-based fundraising models and audience engagement strategies
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new ideas and scale successful initiatives
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Proficiency with MS Office and general web-based tools; ability to learn DU-specific systems
- Knowledge and experience using graphic design tools, such as Canva.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Ability and willingness to travel out of state for required meetings at a minimum of 3-4 times a year.
