Position: Heavy Duty Shop Mechanic

Site: Timmins Maintenance Facility (must be local to the Timmins area)

Rotation: 4/3 -Day Shift only (no weekends)

Shift: 11HRs

Wage: $55.00 - $60.00/HR

Potential Renumeration: KPI Bonus – Referral Bonus

About the Role:

As a Heavy Duty Shop Mechanic at Dumas, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the fleet of heavy mining equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced setting, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support our various project sites, to meet our production goals while working safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mining equipment, including jumbos, MacLean bolters, scoops, utility vehicles, and drills.
Prepare new and overhaul existing fleet equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.

Qualifications:

Valid Red Seal/Journeyman License in a Mechanic trade along with 3+ years of heavy-duty mechanic experience
Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
Ability to work in physically demanding environment.
Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
