We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Developer to join a business-as-usual (BAU) support environment. The role will support and resolve technical incidents, application issues, and data discrepancies, implement database and application-level enhancements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at both team and project levels.

• →Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise services and applications.
• →Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• →Support system and data integrations across internal and external systems, database objects, and automated processes.
• →Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to development standards.
• →Troubleshoot data-processing issues, interface failures, and reconciliation discrepancies.
• →Monitor application health, logs, and alerts using tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• →Collaborate with Business Analysts, Infrastructure, Deployment, and Operations Support teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• →Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation, including solution designs, deployment procedures, incident reports, and operational runbooks.
• →Ensure solutions comply with organizational security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including encryption, auditing, role-based access control, and data masking.
• →Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in development, deployment, and support processes.
• →Participate in incident response and on-call support rotations.

To be a successful candidate for this role, you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and application support.
• Experience in Insurance, Financial Services, AML, Compliance, or Risk Management systems is highly preferred.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, DML, and DDL.
• Good hands-on development experience with Python and C#/.NET.
• Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control tools, and enterprise tools such as Git/GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment through daily communication, documentation, and stakeholder meetings.
