Legal & ComplianceCorporate Lawyer

Brand protection at our scale isn't paperwork. It's a global portfolio moving at the speed of digital entertainment. We're after an IP lawyer with a genuine specialisation and a real interest in the field, ready to keep pace. If you take the initiative, thrive on complexity and back yourself to find the fix, this one's for you.

Alongside senior counsel, you'll help protect the brands behind Kick and Stake. Steer the global trade mark portfolio from filing to registration, take on oppositions, enforcement and disputes as they land and run clearance on new names, logos and campaigns before they go live. Add instructing foreign associates across jurisdictions and drafting the commercial contracts the business runs on, and no two matters look the same.

We know that innovation ignites when we build and create together, in person. This is a full-time opportunity at our Melbourne office. You’ll work right where it all happens, surrounded by our fearless crew shipping high-impact work.

We’re a high-growth, high-velocity tech company with millions of eyeballs on us every day. We’re building the future of fearless tech.

We’re the creators behind some of the most popular brands including Stake, KICK and Easygo Games. While they command a fierce global following, our crew is employed directly by Easygo and that’s where the real fun happens.

We’re always looking for people who are hungry, humble and move fast. People who are ready to Unify, Disrupt and Evolve with us.

With us you’ll grow faster and go further. Your work has impact. And that gives you an edge you can’t get anywhere else.

  • Manage the group's global trade mark portfolio, including the Kick and Stake brands, from filing through to registration - preparing applications, responding to office actions and instructing foreign associates and local counsel across jurisdictions.
  • Handle trade mark oppositions and disputes, defending the group's IP and challenging conflicting third party marks.
  • Run trade mark clearance searches on new names, logos, taglines and campaigns before launch, advising on brand protection risk across product and marketing.
  • Instruct, manage and review the costs of external trade mark agents and IP counsel, and keep senior counsel updated on IP matters.
  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts essential to the group, including service, licensing, brand use, sponsorship and vendor agreements.
  • Provide practical legal advice to internal teams across IP, technology, privacy, consumer protection and contractual matters.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, admitted to practice in Australia, with 2 to 5 years PQE.
  • Demonstrated experience in trade mark prosecution and global portfolio management, oppositions and enforcement, with a working knowledge of copyright law and brand protection.
  • Proven ability to review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including service, licensing and vendor agreements.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders, plus strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once, prioritising and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, working autonomously.
