Low Latency C++ Engineer

Eclipse Trading is a leading proprietary derivatives trading firm. Founded in 2007, we have over 120 employees across 4 office locations – Hong Kong (our HQ), Shanghai, Sydney and Chicago.

Due to organic growth, we are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join our Low Latency Development team which is responsible for the firm’s market links and algorithmic trading system. 

The successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for developing market links and core components for our in-house developed trading systems. The level of seniority for this role (e.g. mid-senior level) will be commensurate with the relevant experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.

• →Develop low latency exchange connectivity and trading algorithms, including quoting, hedging, and arbitrage for listed derivatives and delta one products
• →Work closely with quants and traders to define the behavior of trading algorithms
• →Develop C++ applications for core trading infrastructure
• →Test code thoroughly including automated testing, and actively participate in code reviews
• →Provide tier 3 support

• University degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of C++ server-side development on Linux (C++ 14 or later desirable)
• Strong technical design skills
• Solid understanding of multithreading, network socket programming and low latency programming techniques
• Experience in developing automated trading systems or exchange connectivity (China exchanges is a plus)
• Experience with Kafka is a plus
• Solid data analysis skills
• Excellent communication in spoken and written English
