DESCRIPTION

Manage complete product development programs from RFQ through SOP and establish project timelines, milestones, resourceplans, and risk management strategies.
Lead cross-functional engineering reviews, governance meetings and drive issue resolution and escalation management.
Ensure compliance with customer CAD standards and internal engineering processes required by EDAG and our clients.
Act as primary technical/program contact for our customers (OEMs & Tiers1) and align customer expectations with developmentcapability and program timing.
Lead design reviews and status reporting with customer engineering teams.
Lead cross functional teams and work closely with: Product engineering, CAE, manufacturing engineering, quality and suppliers.
Ensure design compliance with: DFMEA, DFM/DFA, GD&T, packaging requirements, quality standards and release readiness.
Lead multi-site engineering teams and support workforce planning and capacity management.
Mentor CAD leaders / design engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

15+ year of experience inside the automotive industry in development area & 5 years leading development programs/teams.
Knowledge in interior, exterior trim, BIW, Closures.
Advance knowledge in APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFA, DFM, PPAP, GD&T and Materials.
Experience managing global teams and customer-facing projects and proven record of launching automotive products intoproduction.
International Experience (desirable)
Experience in developing phase from: Concept until tooling kick off.
English B2 (Advanced)
German A2 (desirable)
