Responsibilities

  • →Lead electrical system design and advanced power system studies using SKM PowerTools
  • →Perform and review short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, load flow, and reliability analyses
  • →Develop electrical system designs for MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, standby generators, and mission-critical infrastructure
  • →Review and approve engineering calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and specifications
  • →Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
  • →Coordinate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery
  • →Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, CSA, and international electrical standards
  • →Participate in design reviews, quality assurance processes, and value engineering initiatives
  • →Support commissioning, construction administration, and complex technical problem-solving during project execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 15+ years of electrical engineering experience, including significant experience with mission-critical, industrial, utility, or hyperscale data center projects
  • Expert-level proficiency with SKM PowerTools (ETAP and EasyPower experience is an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, protection systems, and redundancy architectures
  • Thorough understanding of NEC, IEEE, CSA, and international electrical codes and standards
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination
  • Knowledge of Neher-McGrath ductbank ampacity studies is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and mentoring junior staff
  • Excellent communication, leadership, client-facing, and problem-solving skills
  • Authorization to work in Canada
