Responsibilities

As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of components and spare parts used across multiple product lines. Working with cross-functional teams and global technology domains, you will drive initiatives focused on quality, reliability, standardization, availability, and cost optimization throughout the component lifecycle.
- Develop technical solutions for quality improvement, cost reduction, and lifecycle management of spare parts and service components.
- Lead the specification, validation, and release of mechanical and electronic components for cross-product-line applications.
- Establish and maintain component standards, technical requirements, and engineering documentation to maximize platform reuse.
- Investigate optimized materials, manufacturing processes, and alternative technical solutions to improve performance, availability, and total cost of ownership.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to field quality, serviceability, and component performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, service, and supplier teams to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Drive standardization and platform synergies, ensuring alignment with global product architectures and subsystem strategies.
- Act as a technical reference, applying engineering expertise and best practices to solve complex challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Lead technical discussions with suppliers and stakeholders to support strategic component development and roadmap execution.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related fields);
- Experience with product, electronic and electrical components development and cost optimization;
- Desiree knowledge of CAD software (CATIA V5 (preferred) or similar);
- Knowledge of generation of engineering and aesthetic specifications and test procedures;
- Advanced Office skills;
- Advanced English.
