This is a full-time position based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong experience in grant and project management, and a solid understanding of federal grants and budgets. This individual should be highly organized, methodical, and detail-oriented; capable of building and maintaining effective tracking systems; comfortable working with budgets and financial information; and able to independently manage recurring workstreams with limited oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential, as this role will require regular coordination and follow-up with clients, subrecipients, and internal team members.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Responsible for recurring grant management, tracking, reporting, and follow-up activities, managing assigned work through completion with limited oversight.
  • Track grant and program reporting requirements and deadlines, and support the preparation and timely submission of quarterly and other periodic reports.
  • Draft, compile, and review project and workforce program reports that are accurate, complete, and aligned with funder requirements.
  • Track project and workforce milestones, outcomes, metrics, risks, and performance measures, and report on progress against goals.
  • Monitor subrecipient budgets and spending, and review invoices to make sure they are accurate and complete.
  • Monitor subrecipient reporting and documentation, and coordinate with subrecipients to collect the information needed to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Develop, build, and maintain grant and project management trackers, tools, and systems that bring structure and consistency to recurring work.
  • Proactively identify and escalate reporting, financial, compliance, or performance issues, and recommend solutions to keep programs on track.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, subrecipients, and internal team members, sharing relevant program information and updates, documenting progress, and following up until items are resolved.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, proactively share information, and keep team members informed of program progress, issues, and needs.
  • Think critically and demonstrate true problem-solving skills with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and complete tasks and projects with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as a trusted client resource and uphold the firm’s reputation by remaining client-focused and committed to delivering above and beyond expectations.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, economics, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in grant management, program or project management, financial analysis, or related experience that clearly demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience supporting federally or state-funded programs, including grant administration, subrecipient monitoring, financial tracking, reporting, compliance, or workforce development, is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of how budgets and funds flow through a program, including budget tracking, expenditures, invoicing, and reimbursement.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and building trackers and reports from scratch.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems, processes, and tools that organize complex information and recurring work.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, organized approach, with a strong commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear reports and follow up with stakeholders to obtain needed information.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and take ownership of timelines and work product.
  • Ability to multitask, shift from project to project, and balance competing priorities.
  • Strong willingness to learn new skills and adopt new methodologies; open-minded and accepting of feedback.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
