Our client, a leading organization within the agricultural sector, is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Group Financial Manager to lead the finance function across multiple entities within the Group, in Port Elizabeth. This senior leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, governance, risk management, consolidation of Group results, and strategic financial support to executive leadership. The successful candidate will bring strong finance leadership experience, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, financial control, and operational partnering within a production-driven agricultural environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on financial management while supporting the continued growth and success of a complex multi-entity business. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the full finance function across the Group, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance monitoring processes across multiple business entities. Consolidate Group financial results and prepare reporting packs for executive management, shareholders, and the Board. Drive financial governance, risk management, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and manage all external audit processes. Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, regulatory, and corporate reporting requirements. Partner with operational and executive teams to provide financial insight, business analysis, and strategic decision-making support. Take ownership of standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and operational cost reporting. Monitor working capital, cash flow, debtor management, and foreign exchange exposure. Support export-related financial activities, including Forex management, customs exposure, credit insurance, and international transactions. Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while ensuring consistency of financial policies and controls across the Group. Requirements BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualification. CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Financial Manager, with direct responsibility for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and team leadership. Proven experience within a Manufacturing environment specifically with production/process costing (BOMs, standard costs and variance analysis). Strong exposure to cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance reporting. Experience consolidating financial results across multiple entities and reporting to a parent company, Board, or shareholder structure. Exposure to export finance, foreign exchange transactions, customs regulations, and international trade environments would be advantageous. Demonstrated experience managing audits, statutory reporting, taxation, and corporate governance requirements. Advanced financial reporting and consolidation skills. Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling experience. Sound understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements. Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems proficiency. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
