Manual Machinist I - 1st Shift

Entegris is currently seeking a Manual Machinist I to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA.  

***$10k sign-on bonus

In this role, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to producing components used in our Ultra High Purity Systems. This position will fabricate various stainless-steel components per engineering specifications, this may include cutting, facing, and de-burring. These tasks will be accomplished by using vertical bandsaws, CNC cold cut saws, porta band saws, roto bur tools, files, tube facing tools and wash tanks. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions.

• →Works from instructions, drawings, and lists of various tube diameters and lengths with supervision.
• →Use SAP to print drawings and tube cut lists.
• →Cut and clean tubing and weld fittings as well as keep the shop clean.
• →Ability to follow verbal instructions.
• →Follow engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• →Performs routine, repetitive operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• →Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
• →Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.
• →Ability to work safely and recognize the safety of others.
• →Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
• →Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
• →Work with a team as well as independently when needed.
• →Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
• →Any other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED. 
• 0-2 years’ experience in cutting de-burring and cleaning tubing and fittings. 
• Ability to learn to navigate through our ERP system to find, drawings and instructions. 
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily. 
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time. 
• Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. 
• Ability to learn how to handle material responsibly. 
• Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

• Compensation: $23-25 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
• $10k sign-on bonus (paid half after 90 days and half after 180 days).
