Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

The Role:
Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
The purpose of this co-op role is to support the process engineers in the back-end portion of the Billerica filter manufacturing line through the collection and analysis of data that results in improved first pass yield or reduced process variation.

What You’ll Do:

• Collect and summarize data to support or reject a proposal for a process change.

• Review procedures for accuracy.

• Evaluate the safety and efficacy of processes.

• Conduct operator tasks to become familiar with the steps & controls associated with a process

• Ability to communicate project status and provide updates or barriers to completion.

• Confident in communication skills related to reaching out to operators, technicians, and engineers for input or assistance.

• Initiative to seek additional tasks or see tasks that require attention.

• Critical thinking to evaluate situations/information based on evidence and objective data

• Must be a currently enrolled student

• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June

• Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

• Mix of sitting & standing.

• Manufacturing is within a clean room environment.

• Ability to lift 30 pounds
