Community Support Specialist

• Developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or traumatic brain injuries
• Behavior modification and training techniques
• Job and workplace accommodations
• Community resources and employment programs

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to assess strengths and match individuals to employment opportunities
• Effective problem-solving and independent decision-making
• Experience documenting service delivery and progress notes
• Ability to transport participants using personal or company vehicles

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
• Experience in industrial or service-related work (preferred)

• Valid Washington State Driver’s License
• Proof of auto insurance
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)

• Ability to perform medium work (lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Work in a variety of settings (office, community, indoor/outdoor job sites)

• Combination of office, community, and job site settings
• Use of computers, phones, company vehicles, and training equipment
• Collaboration with participants, employers, and interdisciplinary teams
