Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners - Terminal Operator I

A Terminal Operator 1 is an entry level, safety-sensitive operations position focused on the general functions of the terminal.

• Reports to Terminal Manager
• The position will also interface with all employees within the terminal, as well as customers, vendors and employees from other parts of the company.

• →Adhere to all Safety requirements and procedures.
• →Able to work independently (self-driven), as well as a Team Player.

• →Maintain customer, supplier and Company confidentiality.
• →Maintain regular hours by being present, on-time and producing professional, error-free work.
• →Receive and hook up rail cars.
• →Connect steam and unloading hoses.
• →Collect and record tank temperatures and measurements. Record information appropriately.
• →Have a working knowledge of and successfully operate Order Weigh system.
• →Perform routine yard maintenance.
• →Assist with maintenance of equipment.
• →Pull product samples upon request.
• →Adhere to all (DOT) and (OSHA) requirements.
• →Maintain excellent attendance and timeliness.
• →Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
• →Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• →Other duties as required by Terminal Manager.

• Basic computer skills and PC knowledge.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (where applicable).

• Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
• Able to work outside in varying weather conditions, varying cold, hot & humid temperatures.
• Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
