Responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. Provides personal hygiene care, assists with providing for nutritional needs; recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process, recognizes and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurse, and maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents. Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner. Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.

24 - 36 hours per week

Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date. If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.

Grace Home provides 24-hour skilled nursing care in a comfortable, home-like setting. Our location offers peaceful views of the surrounding farmland, with Lake Toqua just across the street. We are also conveniently located adjacent to the Essentia Health hospital and clinic.

Current Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
A genuine desire to care for and connect with older adults.
Compassion, patience, and respect for each resident's individuality.
Strong observation and communication skills.
Dependability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the CNA position.
