The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as a key resource for payroll administration, audits, tax reporting, and employee payroll inquiries, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • →Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for multiple employee groups and classifications.
  • →Ensure payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • →Review and validate employee time records, shift differentials, overtime calculations, incentive payments, bonuses, and other earnings adjustments for accuracy.
  • →Administer payroll-related deductions, garnishments, benefits withholdings, and other payroll transactions.
  • →Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • →Prepare, reconcile, and submit payroll tax filings and related reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
  • →Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and system-related issues in a timely manner.
  • →Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • →Support payroll reporting, month-end activities, audits, and special projects as assigned.
  • →Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of payroll administration, payroll analysis, or related experience.
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple employee populations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with payroll software systems; experience with ADP preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment, discretion, and integrity.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
  • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with union payroll processes and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience with payroll audits, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.
