Throughout the programme, you will:

  • Support the design and delivery of engineering projects across a range of sectors.

  • Learn to use industry-standard engineering software and digital tools.

  • Attend project meetings and gain exposure to client interactions.

  • Participate in site visits to observe construction, commissioning, and project delivery activities.

  • Work closely with mentors and experienced engineers who will support your development.

  • Complete assignments and assessments as part of your academic studies.

  • Build professional skills including communication, teamwork, organisation, and problem-solving.

  • Progress through increasingly challenging responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow.

Alongside your project work, you will attend TU Dublin on a day-release basis as part of your Level 7 Engineering Degree pathway. You will follow a structured development programme that combines academic study, workplace learning, technical training, mentoring, and career planning.

You will also build a portfolio of engineering experience to support your professional development and future progression towards Chartered Engineer status. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will have the opportunity to progress into an Engineering role and continue your long-term career development within Ethos.

We are seeking motivated individuals who are curious about how things work and are excited by the prospect of building a career in engineering.

You do not need previous engineering work experience. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate potential, commitment, and a willingness to learn.

  • Successful candidates will typically demonstrate:

  • Strong numeracy, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and resilience when facing challenges.

  • An interest in engineering through school projects, STEM activities, coding, design, building, or other technical pursuits.

  • Any work experience, extracurricular activities, or achievements that demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and initiative.
