✓Provide high-quality patient care as a Licensed Veterinary Technician on the Overnight Emergency team.

✓Monitor and care for emergency and critical patients throughout the overnight shift.

✓Assist veterinarians and board-certified specialists with emergency procedures, treatments, diagnostics, and patient care.

✓Perform and assist with technical procedures, treatments, medication administration, catheter placement, sample collection, and patient monitoring within your scope of practice.

✓Monitor hospitalized patients and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the veterinary team.

✓Utilize advanced imaging, monitoring equipment, and other technology to support emergency and critical care.

✓Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced Emergency and specialty hospital.

✓Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments, diagnostics, and changes in patient status.

✓Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members regarding patient care.

✓Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional approach when working with patients and families during stressful or emotional situations.

✓Work collaboratively with veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and other overnight team members to provide consistent patient care.

✓Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities to expand your emergency and critical care knowledge and technical skills.

✓After gaining appropriate knowledge and experience, train, coach, mentor, and teach newer Veterinary Technicians and team members.

Requirements

Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required.
Experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital setting.
Experience or strong interest in emergency and critical care.
Strong foundation in veterinary medicine and patient care.
Ability to prioritize multiple patients and remain composed in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively during overnight shifts.
Strong attention to detail and accurate medical record documentation.
Excellent client service and communication skills.
Comfortable working with veterinarians, board-certified specialists, and other Veterinary Technicians in a specialty and emergency setting.
Willingness to learn new and advanced techniques and continue developing clinical skills.
Ability to provide and receive mentorship, guidance, and feedback in a team environment.
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
