Role Purpose

EXA Infrastructure is a dynamic and rapidly growing technology infrastructure company committed to delivering excellence in digital infrastructure to our valued customers.  We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our Centre of Excellence team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills, a customer service attitude, and expertise in process improvement, particularly with Oracle Fusion. 



Key responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of up to 10 accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Process Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor management, and month-end close activities. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oracle Fusion Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems used for accounts payable. Provide training and support to team members on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and negotiating payment terms when necessary. Collaborate with procurement and other departments to optimize vendor relationships and achieve cost savings.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the team's productivity, accuracy, and efficiency. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance controls. Leverage automation and technology solutions to increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls related to accounts payable operations. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audits and address findings.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and analyses to provide insights into accounts payable performance, trends, and risks. Present findings to senior management and make recommendations for process enhancements.



Individual Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong experience in progressive experience in accounts payable, with experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures. Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems is required.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence in accounts payable functions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a multinational or publicly traded company with complex accounts payable processes.
  • Knowledge of international tax and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable automation tools and technologies.
  • Certification in project management or process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
