Role Purpose
EXA Infrastructure is looking for a highly motivated Entry-Level ESG Analyst to support our sustainability efforts across our infrastructure assets and operations. In this role, you will lead the implementation, monitoring, and reporting on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives that align with industry best practices and EXA’s sustainability goals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about ESG to make a meaningful contribution to our long-term environmental and social impact strategy.
This person will work on strategic projects including advancing the firm’s sustainability goals; evaluating ESG data and reporting; and communicating and quantifying aspects of our ESG program.
Key responsibilities
ESG Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting:
- Gather, track, and analyze ESG-related data (including e.g. GHG and health and safety) from internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with reporting standards (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB) as well as regulation (e.g. ESOS and CSRD).
- Conduct ESG assessments, complete due diligence questionnaires, track ongoing progress, identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Create ESG reports for internal use, investors, and regulatory filings.
- Improve our internal ESG data processes through investigatory data analysis, process improvements, and dashboard development
- Conduct gap analyses to propose recommendations to improve data reporting and processes
- Use data to quantify aspects of our ESG program and recommend courses of action
- Conduct market research (leading sustainability organizations, peers, vendors and key accounts)
- Research and analyse select high-priority ESG topics and present findings to internal constituents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, organize, and analyse data, presenting results in a clear and compelling way, and making recommendations on policies and procedures.
Sustainability Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor environmental and social KPIs across the organization.
- Support the development and implementation of ESG performance improvement initiatives.
Energy Management:
- Collect energy related data (consumption, energy source, utilization and efficiency)
- Collect power cost related data and track cost vs budget
- Prepare data forecast on energy consumption
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work with internal teams (operations, procurement, HR) to integrate ESG objectives into business practices.
- Participate in stakeholder consultations and collaborate with external partners to drive sustainability initiatives.
ESG Reporting & Compliance:
- Propose and execute sustainability strategy and roadmap aligned with peers and stakeholder expectations
- Preparation of annual ESG disclosures, including sustainability reports and public filings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ESG regulations, industry standards, and investor requirements.
- Assist in drafting ESG policies and procedures
Risk Assessment:
- Support the identification of material ESG risks and opportunities, especially in relation to climate change, resource efficiency, and community engagement.
- Collaborate in the development of mitigation plans for key ESG risks across EXA's assets.
Project Support:
- Implement sustainability projects across EXA's infrastructure portfolio, such as energy efficiency measures, renewable energy integration, and social impact projects.
- Support for ESG-related audits and assessments. Manages the logistics process for inventory maintenance, shipments, and delivery, and returns on products and processing the RMAs across multiple countries and Vendors
Individual Profile
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Business, Finance or a related field
- A master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- ESG Knowledge: Understanding of key ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD), sustainability trends, and industry practices within infrastructure and telecom.
- Data Management: Strong analytical skills to collect, manage, and interpret ESG-related data.
- Reporting: Familiarity with ESG reporting tools and methodologies. Experience with sustainability reporting software is an advantage.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ESG information clearly and effectively.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Basic project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data reporting and documentation.
- Proficiency in Software Tools: Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data management systems.

Preferred Experience:
- Prior internship or work experience in ESG, sustainability, or a related field.
- Experience in telecommunications industries is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of environmental management systems, carbon footprint measurement, or resource efficiency projects is a plus.
