Carry out a wide range of Geotechnical projects including Geotechnical Investigations and Materials testing projects.
Project coordination including arranging utility locates and site access, perform borehole layout.
Prepare proposals for Geotechnical investigations and Materials Testing projects.
Prepare geotechnical reports with deliverables within submission deadline.
Collect samples for environmental (analytical) testing and prepare chain of custody form for submission to an independent laboratory.
Assist with Inspection and Testing projects from a review/reporting perspective.
Manage several projects in Geotechnical and Materials Testing area.
Attend site from time to time to carry out footing/rebar inspections.

Engineering Undergraduate Degree (Civil Engineering or Earth Science)
Registered as a P.Eng. or P. Geo. is preferred although EIT is acceptable
3+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred
Working knowledge of Excess Soils Management (O. Reg. 406/19) is preferred but not necessary
Ability to understand and resolve problems while on construction sites
Able to read drawings and specifications
Ability to exercise diplomacy and tact when interacting with fellow staff, clients, consultants and contractors
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write clear field reports, including making recommendations
Strong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail
Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites as needed
