We are seeking Air Systems Safety & Certification Engineers to support the delivery of airworthy and certifiable combat air capability for the next generation of combat aircraft. This role focuses on the integration of safety engineering, airworthiness assurance and certification activities, ensuring that complex aerospace systems meet both regulatory and customer requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

This role offers an opportunity to influence future combat air capability through the development, integration and optimisation of advanced sensing architectures, supporting delivery across the full engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Support certification planning activities.

Develop and maintain certification evidence.

Support airworthiness and safety assurance activities.

Conduct compliance assessments.

Interface with customers and certification authorities.

Support governance, audit and assurance reviews.

Produce technical reports and certification artefacts.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related STEM discipline.
Applications are also welcomed from individuals with significant demonstrable experience who don’t hold formal qualifications.

Right to work in the UK.
Eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC).
Ability to satisfy customer security and export control requirements.
Willingness to travel occasionally to customer and partner locations.
