AI-driven threats and human error are today’s biggest enterprise security risks. Cybercriminals don’t hack systems — they exploit people. Human errors drive 70% of security breaches, making human behavior the primary and growing attack surface.

At Fable, we believe the right tools can convert people from targets into another layer of defense.

Fable is the human risk platform that directly shapes employee behavior. Designed for simplicity and enterprise scale, our agentic platform synthesizes complex employee data, pinpoints risky behaviors, and deploys highly relevant interventions to people automatically, in real time, right where they work.

Backed by Redpoint Ventures and Greylock Partners and founded by early Abnormal Security team members, Fable is solving cybersecurity’s biggest challenge in a multi-billion-dollar market. Our team includes alumni from Meta, Twitter, Flexport, and top-tier universities like Waterloo, Columbia, Berkeley, Purdue, CMU, Stanford, UCLA, and USC.

We are experiencing explosive growth, making this a career-defining opportunity to join and shape the future of security.

  • Contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews, shared ownership, and mentorship

  • Ship production-grade code quickly and thoughtfully — balancing quality and speed

  • 3–5 years of experience building and shipping fullstack or backend-heavy applications

  • Strong fluency with Django (or similar frameworks) and backend fundamentals — API design, data modeling, persistence, and hands-on Postgres experience (schema design, query performance)

  • Experience building frontend interfaces — ideally with React or Next.js

  • Familiar with TypeScript and GraphQL (or excited to grow into them)

  • Proven ability to take features from concept to production independently

  • Customer-obsessed — you care that your work solves real problems for real users

  • Thoughtful about system design and data integrity, and ask good product questions

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments

  • Continuously raise the bar — for yourself, your peers, and the product

You've built production features in a fast-moving environment, love sweating the details of user experience, and take pride in solving real-world customer problems.

  • We work from our San Francisco office three days a week, fostering collaboration and deep focus.

  • We emphasize mutual trust, high execution, and delivering differentiated product experiences.

  • We prioritize impact—every team member plays a key role in shaping our success.
