The School of Nursing at the University of St. Thomas seeks adjunct instructors of nursing for upcoming semesters. These instructors are for a pooled, adjunct faculty position for continuous recruitment. Review of candidates is typically done two times annually – spring/summer and late fall/winter. Teaching load generally includes clinical instruction and may include theory instruction, depending upon program needs and enrollments. Opportunities may be in our BSN and pre-licensure MSN programs, which are focused on coursework for entry into professional Registered Nurse practice. Salary Range: $6,200 per course load for the 2025-2026 school year.

Applicants must hold a graduate degree (a master’s and/or doctoral degree [PhD, DNP or EdD]) from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education, by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or successors, or by a comparable organization if the graduate-level degree is from a foreign country. If the major of the graduate degree is not in nursing, the faculty must hold a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing. Applicants must have experiential preparation for the areas in which they teach, at least three years of relevant experience, and hold unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), with current registration in Minnesota. Expertise is dependent on areas of need in courses, and will include community/public health, psychiatric/mental health, acute care, maternal/child and/or pediatric nursing. Previous nursing education and/or precepting expertise and knowledge of learning management systems preferred. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
