About the Role

Location: Suffolk, NY (school based)
Hours: Hours vary based on school district (Ex: Mon - Fri 8am - 3pm) Daytime hours 25-32 hours per week
Schedule: Follows the school district calendar, including holidays and breaks
Compensation: $22-$28/hourly

Responsibilities

→Work collaboratively with a Behavior Consultant and or Clinical Supervisor to support individual student needs
→Can include implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting, CPI training and implementation)
→Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis and in a professional manner
→Goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
→Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding students in accordance with State and Federal regulations

Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
Minimum of High School Diploma required
Must have reliable transportation
Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
Bilingual is a plus
