C&IR is responsible for enabling secure regulation at the FCA and PSR. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high profile, newly created role, that will focus on cyber security, insider risk and physical access threats, in a co-ordinated way.

You will centralise our threat management efforts, ensuring a coordinated approach and bolstering capability around such areas as risks related to organised crime, espionage, physical access operations against the FCA and travel security. This will set the balance between engagement and security on a range of sensitive, high-profile and impactful areas for the FCA such as organised crime and more.

• Lead and coordinate the FCA’s response to security threats, including nation state activity, regulatory risk, physical security and cyber threats
• Work closely with government departments, law enforcement agencies and external partners to support a coordinated security approach
• Provide comprehensive travel security advice and support, including for colleagues based overseas
• Advise on and help manage risks associated with exposure to Organised Criminal Groups as part of the FCA’s financial crime remit
• Support the development and implementation of security policies, standards and best practice across the organisation
• Deliver risk assessments and specialist advice on targeted threats, including access to outsourced services such as online profiling and personal security reviews where required
• Design and deliver training and awareness initiatives, helping colleagues build knowledge and capability across a range of security topics

• Experience managing information and intelligence gathering, synthesis and assessment, with the ability to brief senior leadership, including ExCo, and produce comprehensive, covering both enterprise-level and individual security considerations
• Experience applying formal risk management techniques in operational and real-world security scenarios and implementing security measures and data protection principles
• Knowledge of the legislative environment relating to intelligence collection operations, combined with extensive investigative experience and the ability to analyse information to support security and risk-based decision making

• Applied understanding of risk assessment frameworks to support informed, risk-based decision-making
• Solid understanding of engagement and collaboration with law enforcement agencies, regulated firms, and international stakeholders, including foreign government bodies
• Comprehensive understanding of intelligence handling responsibilities, governance requirements, and information management standards
• Extensive experience in Insider Risk programmes and a clear understanding of how they interact with wider staff risk management frameworks and organisational controls
