Associate Underwriter

We are currently seeking a motivated and well-organized Associate Underwriter to support the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers for our Gulf Coast Region. 

• →Assist with gathering underwriting information on renewal and new business accounts and works with agency to obtain missing information.
• →Approve, modify or decline all transactions (MVR, audit changes, endorsements, etc.) within assigned authority level
• →Review all endorsement requests and gather missing information. Approve and provide issuance instructions within designated authority. Refer endorsement requests outside designated authority to UW.
• →Handle the renewal underwriting of less complex accounts based on authority levels and assigned premium thresholds.
• →Prepare the appropriate underwriting file documentation on accounts within authority, supporting the UW in documentation outside of authority.

If located in the Jackson, MS area, the position will be hybrid in our Gulf Coast Regional office in Ridgeland, MS (three days in the office and two days from home). Otherwise, the position can work remotely from within our Gulf Coast territory (Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee).

The salary range for this position is $24.80-$38.19 hourly. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
