Helper A

Fernwood Property Management is looking to hire a Helper A to join our team and contribute to providing the highest possible quality of service and an exemplary living experience for our residents.

The Helper A is attentive to company goals relative to resident satisfaction and is responsible for executing maintenance requests by diagnosing problems and making repairs in order to maintain the physical condition of the community according to operating and safety standards and to ensure the service requests and repairs are made in a timely manner.

This role is a union position. Helper A level union training is required for the role.

• →At least 1 year of experience in property maintenance performing the duties associated with a Helper A
• →High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• →Ability to identify and properly use cleaning and chemical supplies
• →Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.)
• →Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills such as measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in order to do basic calculations and analysis such as estimating, determining averages and percentages, and totals.
• →Door handle/lock assembly repair a plus
• →Carpentry Skills (kitchen counter replacement, bath vanity top replacement, kitchen floor installation and kitchen cabinet repairs)
