Draftsman - Structural Engineering Background

• →Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• →1–3 years of relevant experience in structural drafting, structural design, engineering support, architectural drafting, or a similar construction-related environment.
• →Hands-on experience with structural drafting and a working understanding of structural design principles.
• →Ability to read, interpret, and translate structural plans, engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications into accurate CAD drawings.
• →Working knowledge of basic structural calculations and structural design principles, with the ability to interpret and apply engineering calculations to technical drawings.
• →Basic understanding of structural systems, building materials, construction methods, and structural components, including foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and framing.
• →Experience assisting with structural calculations, design checks, or engineering design tasks is preferred.
• →Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• →Strong analytical, mathematical, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• →Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across technical drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
• →Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and communicate technical information clearly.
• →Highly resourceful and able to work independently while knowing when to seek clarification from engineers, architects, or project managers.
• →Able to manage multiple projects, revisions, and deadlines in a fast-paced design environment.
• →A natural problem-solver with a “puzzle-solver” mindset and the ability to identify inconsistencies and determine practical solutions.
