Business and Operations Manager

Our client is an indigenous food processing company focused on producing and distributing high-quality probiotic yoghurt products. Since launching in 2020, the company has continued to grow its operations and brand presence within the Nigerian market through its flagship yoghurt brand, Springfield Yogurt, while also preparing to introduce additional product lines. The company is committed to delivering healthy, safe, and accessible dairy products while maintaining high operational and quality standards. Role Summary The Business and Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day business operations of the company, with responsibility across production oversight, sales coordination, operations management, and brand growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive and hands-on professional who can independently manage operational activities, supervise teams, drive business growth, and support the CEO in executing strategic and operational priorities. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, leadership capability, operational discipline, and the ability to work across multiple functions in a fast-paced food processing environment. Key Responsibilities Business Growth & Brand Development Support the growth and market expansion of Spring Fresh products Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance and customer acquisition Identify business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to support business decisions Support brand visibility and customer engagement initiatives Operations & Production Oversight Oversee daily operational activities across office and factory locations Coordinate production and operational workflows to ensure efficiency and consistency Monitor inventory, distribution, and supply chain activities Ensure operational processes comply with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards Work closely with the production team to improve productivity and reduce operational inefficiencies Support operational planning and execution for business continuity Sales & Distribution Management Oversee sales coordination and distribution activities Monitor sales performance and support the implementation of sales strategies Ensure smooth product distribution and timely delivery processes Build and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships Track and report on sales activities and operational performance metrics Team Leadership & Administration Supervise and coordinate both the production and sales teams Provide leadership, structure, and accountability across departments Support staff coordination, task delegation, and operational follow-through Promote a culture of responsibility, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement Work closely with the CEO to implement operational and business priorities Requirements Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, business management, sales, or related roles within the food processing or FMCG industry Strong leadership and people management capabilities Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions Strong understanding of sales strategy, operations, and business growth Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Background in Food Science, Food Technology, Business Administration, or related fields is an added advantage Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be: Proactive and execution-driven Teachable and adaptable Highly responsible and dependable Comfortable working in both operational and strategic capacities Able to lead teams and drive accountability Passionate about growth, operational excellence, and business improvement Benefits Salary: ₦3,600,000 per annum Accommodation support available Annual leave
