Purpose
A positive and friendly individual who is responsible for facilitating all aspects of the recruitment of students. This position works to enhance the visibility of the college throughout the community and to entice potential students to attend the college.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum High School diploma, AAS Degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multiple assignments
• Experience working with Microsoft Word & Excel
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Employment is dependent upon a pre-employment background screening
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and
use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
• Ability to lift, set up and transport recruiting displays, promotional items, and College simulators
• Requires extensive travel throughout the school year with overnight travel required
• Indoors, environmentally controlled
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal or in a vehicle for an extended period of time
• Occasional stress due to deadlines and/or dealing with unpleasant or angry people
Job Duties
Essential Functions
• Regular attendance and timeliness
• Coordinate and participate in the implementation and recruitment strategies of prospective students
• Attend career planning conferences, trade shows, and fairs
• Actively develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors and technical education
instructors
• Coordinate high school visits in specific recruitment territory
• Maintain accurate and timely information in the computer database system
• Coordinate all follow-up efforts in conjunction with recruits in designated recruiting territory
• Host campus tours and visits
• Actively participate in College-wide recruitment and orientation events
• Develop and maintain a travel calendar of admissions activities
• Maintain regular communication with the Dean of Enrollment Management regarding admissions
efforts
• Prepare monthly reports on recruiting territory for the Dean of Enrollment Management
• Review relevant areas of the website and recommend changes to your supervisor
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to Fort Hays Tech | North Central’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Other duties as assigned by the President or designee
Compensation
• 12-Month Position
• Compensation based on experience
