This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote and in-office working

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

At Fidelity, we’ve been helping Canadian investors build better financial futures for over 35 years.  We offer individuals and institutions a range of trusted investment portfolios and services - and we’re constantly seeking to find new and better ways to help our clients.  As a privately owned company, we boldly embrace innovation in all areas as we continue to grow our business into the future.

Working with us means you’ll be part of a diverse and dedicated group of people who make a real difference for our clients and communities every day. You’ll have a wide range of opportunities to grow and develop your career in an inclusive environment where you’ll feel valued and supported to be your best - both personally and professionally.

The Corporate Development Team's key responsibility is to provide high quality business & strategy consulting and corporate development / M&A services for Fidelity Canada and to support the most senior stakeholders across the organization. This is achieved by establishing strong relationships with these client groups while meeting the needs and interest of all stakeholders. The team has a high profile within the firm, has earned its regard by the most senior stakeholders, and has a unique vantage point from which to lead strategic analyses and projects across the full breadth and reach of the firm.

The team has frequent interaction with members of Fidelity Canada’s Senior Executive Team. The Manager, Corporate Development (Case Lead) is an experienced strategist and will operate as part of and lead various teams through working groups and steering committees on a variety of efforts. At times the Manager will be required to operate independently and to undertake any / all such work to ‘get the job done’. This role will be required to build strong partnerships with business leaders and colleagues by providing exceptional business consulting and business strategy support.

With time, this role will manage a team of experienced corporate development professionals. This role will reside in the Finance & Corporate Services department, specifically on the Corporate Development team reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development. The focus and nature of the individual’s work will vary over time, reflecting Fidelity Canada’s business strategy, priorities, and challenges. The role may also work with the Fidelity Business Consulting team at FIL for wider Fidelity International imperatives. The team’s human capital is considered ‘fungible’ and aligned to business priorities, needs and initiatives as they arise, akin to external consultancy firm models.
