Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager/designee establishes, maintains and enhances systems within the unit to achieve positive outcomes. This includes planning, initiation and evaluation of all aspects of Clinical issues, nursing practice and customer service
naEDUCATION: Minimum: • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program. Preferred: • Bachelors Degree in Nursing and/or certification in individual specialty. LICENSE: Minimum: • Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum: • BLS, PALS, and ENPC required through the RQI system during clinical orientation. WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum: • One year LTC experience Preferred: • Two or more years LTC experience SKILLS: Minimum: • One year of Med-Surg experience or LTC Charge Nurse experience. • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. • Computer literacy required • Demonstrated leadership abilities. Preferred: • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
