Practice Manager II - Seneca Family Health

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice and coordinate efficient departmental procedures that support effective, high-quality patient care.

Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring, and direction to practice staff while promoting accountability, teamwork, and professional development.

Foster a strong culture of customer service and lead by example in interactions with patients, providers, staff, and external partners.

Optimize daily practice operations, including patient scheduling, registration, charge and cash posting, and coordination of services to maximize provider efficiency.

Apply general knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding and support accurate and efficient practice workflows.

Collaborate with providers and staff to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.

Work with staff and providers to develop and execute business plans that identify opportunities for new programs and services or improvements to existing services.

Support initiatives designed to increase revenue, improve customer satisfaction, enhance clinical quality, and promote patient safety.

Ensure patients are appropriately prepared for office visits and receive necessary education, follow-up, and coordination of care.

Oversee appropriate follow-up related to prescriptions, pathology results, and other patient care needs.

Ensure providers receive appropriate support during patient care and clinical procedures.

Mentor and develop staff to strengthen appropriate clinical and operational skills.

Assist with the development and implementation of processes consistent with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles.

Assist with monitoring, tracking, and reporting progress toward established quality metrics.

Develop and coordinate efficient procedures supporting Occupational Health and Workers’ Compensation activities.

Ensure appropriate utilization of staffing, equipment, and other resources.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, patient experience, and workflow.

Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a leadership position within a dynamic healthcare practice. The Practice Manager must be comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities, staff supervision, provider support, patient service, and operational priorities while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

Knowledge of physician office operations and physician billing.

Experience creating and managing an operating budget.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with Medent systems and patient scheduling.

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding.

Experience in Occupational Health and/or Workers’ Compensation operations is desirable.

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in physician practice operations.

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

Experience with computerized patient scheduling.

Demonstrated computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
