About the Role

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients across a variety of units, including ICU, Med/Surg, and Emergency Department (ED).
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and create individualized care plans.
Deliver direct care and evaluate patient progress throughout their treatment episode.
Provide patient and family education, focusing on self-care, lifestyle changes, and long-term health management.
Develop specialized skills in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and critical care.
Offer emotional support and promote comfort in a Healing Environment.

2 West: Specializes in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and medical/surgical conditions in adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
3 North: Provides care for patients with medical conditions across the adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
ICU: Develop expertise in life support systems, cardiac monitoring, and critical care interventions.
ED: Apply skills in managing both life-threatening and routine emergency situations.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Registered Nursing.
Licensure: Current New York State RN License.
Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification may be obtained during Clinical Orientation.
Basic Coronary Care certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
CPI certification must be completed within 1 year of hire. Both CPI and Coronary Care courses are provided through Finger Lakes Health’s Educational Department.
