RN New Grad Residency, Medical Surgical III North, Geneva General August 2027

Our New Graduate RN Residency Program – III North Medical/Surgical is designed to provide newly licensed nurses with the education, clinical experience, mentorship, and support needed to confidently transition from nursing school into professional practice.

You’ll work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals while developing the skills necessary to care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This residency provides an opportunity to strengthen your clinical judgment, enhance your assessment skills, and build the confidence needed to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

• Comprehensive orientation and structured clinical training

• Guidance and mentorship from experienced Medical/Surgical nurses and preceptors

• Hands-on experience caring for patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses

• Development of patient assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills

• Training in medication administration, treatment planning, and patient monitoring

• Opportunities to recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions

• Experience collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Ongoing support throughout your transition to independent practice

• A collaborative environment focused on professional development, teamwork, and patient safety

Eligible new graduates may qualify for our RN New Graduate Incentive Program. Financial incentives are available based on program eligibility and applicable employment commitments.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing required.

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon employment/start of clinical practice.

• Newly licensed RNs and recent nursing graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• Additional certifications and clinical competencies will be completed as required during orientation and residency training.
