Product Management defines, promotes and communicates the strategic roadmap for current and future products. Partner closely with business and technical teams to gather insights, understand current business process, challenges, and opportunities, in order to envision, design and develop technology products. Identify emerging markets, conduct market research, generate product requirements, determine specifications, create product roadmap, and conduct competitive assessments and product positioning. Act as primary contact and product evangelist to build awareness, understanding, and user acceptance. Works with clients, as needed, to develop and prioritize high level product requirements and ensure satisfaction and goals are met. Works closely with technology and other cross functional teams to determine plans for product implementation, upgrades and deployments. Use their deep knowledge of technology, processes, methodologies and principles to lead their product teams to successful outcomes.

  • Drive the vision and delivery of innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive
  • Develop, define, maintain and communicate the product strategy and roadmap
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements 
  • Determine and conduct market research to identify user need for new products
  • Prioritize product opportunities using criteria and requirements defined during research
  • Define high level customer requirements for the entire customer experience including product features and functions, target markets, and pricing
  • Works with users to understand and validate their needs using Lean and UX design principles.
  • Creates and uses wireframes to convey new feature ideas
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
  • Lead and participate in planning meetings and provide advice and guidance on direction of products
  • Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs
  • Execute the product roadmap by providing direction to the product development team for product evolution and priorities, ensuring that the experience gained from external market activities, usage analysis, competitive response, and market research is reflected in future product releases
  • Assess market competition by cultivating knowledge of competitor products to identify product gaps, assess and address competitive threats, and gain a competitive edge
  • Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Troubleshoots a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad applications and functional expertise
  • Regularly provides input to define and implement conceptual issues
  • Works under general direction
  • May provide functional advice or training to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years’ directly related experience in product or services development
  • Strong understanding and abilities related to Excel and Visio (or comparable)
  • Experience in product development, requirements and risk analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, and financial planning and strategy
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Lean and UX Principles
  • Knowledge of consumer marketing analytics
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences and clients
  • Sound decision making, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships and ensure cooperation across the organization
  • High level of business acumen, strategic agility, ability to develop others, influence outcomes and change, and negotiate for resources
  • Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects
  • Ability to organize own work, set and meet timelines
  • Collaboratively engages with leaders to create, identify, and implement solutions to further effectiveness of the business

 

Pay Range: $117,500.00 - $156,650.00 Annually

 

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
