In this role, you'll provide leadership and direction to our Lending Relationship Bankers while managing lending relationships, supporting business development, and promoting consistent lending practices across the Bank.

You'll:

  • →Lead, coach, and develop Lending Relationship Bankers while establishing clear expectations and accountability for performance, service, and relationship growth.
  • →Originate and service consumer, commercial, and small business loans within established lending authority and Bank policies.
  • →Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand lending, deposit, and other banking services.
  • →Gradually assume responsibility for an established loan portfolio through a coordinated transition with executive leadership.
  • →Monitor portfolio quality, renewals, maturities, exceptions, and past-due activity to support sound lending decisions.
  • →Partner with Commercial Banking, Mortgage Banking, Credit, Loan Operations, and branch teams to meet customers' broader financial needs.
  • →Collaborate with lending leadership to strengthen processes, improve communication, and promote consistent lending procedures across branches.
  • →Support team development, training, workload coordination, and cross-branch coverage.
  • →Establish and monitor lending, deposit, service, and portfolio goals in partnership with executive leadership.
  • →Represent First Service Bank through community involvement, business development, and relationship-building opportunities.

We're looking for someone who combines lending experience, strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to lead and develop others.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in banking or lending, with knowledge of loan analysis, documentation, servicing, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience across multiple types of lending, including consumer and commercial lending, preferred.
  • A background in retail banking, deposit products, and business development preferred.
  • Previous experience managing, coaching, training, or developing associates preferred.
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations, lending practices, and credit principles.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and a commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and ethical banking practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn banking systems and technology.
  • A high school diploma or GED; a college degree in a related field or equivalent banking experience preferred.
  • The ability to maintain any required registrations or certifications associated with assigned lending responsibilities.
  • You're a relationship builder who understands that great banking begins with trust, communication, and exceptional service.
  • You enjoy developing others, setting clear expectations, and helping your team achieve meaningful results.
  • You recognize opportunities to grow lending and deposit relationships while maintaining sound credit judgment.
  • You're comfortable balancing customer relationships, lending responsibilities, and operational priorities.
  • You know how to collaborate across departments, address challenges, and turn opportunities into action.
  • Most importantly, you lead with integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the success of your customers, your team, and First Service Bank.
