Step into a high-impact role where you will help shape and strengthen global financial crime frameworks across Flight Centre Travel Group. You will play a critical role in supporting AML/CTF, sanctions, and anti-bribery programs, working with stakeholders across multiple regions. This is your opportunity to contribute to meaningful risk management initiatives while driving smarter, data-led insights and innovation through AI-enabled solutions. This role would be great for someone that has been a Risk Analyst and seeking a more specialised role within the Anti-Financial Crime sector. The Anti-Financial Crime Analyst position will be based onsite in our South Bank, Brisbane HQ.
• Gather, structure, and analyse data to support sanctions exposure reporting, risk assessments, and management reporting
• Monitor global sanctions regimes (DFAT, UN, OFAC, EU, UK) and translate developments into actionable insights
• Analyse, maintain, and interpret dashboards and reporting materials for senior stakeholders
• Draft and maintain policy documents, procedures, and guidance materials
• Prepare agendas, papers, and minutes for governance forums across board, executive, and operational levels
• Produce regulatory updates and horizon-scanning briefings
• Manage shared mailboxes, triaging and responding to internal escalations globally
• Coordinate stakeholders across time zones to keep governance forums and projects on track
• Track actions and ensure delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through AI tools, scripting, and low-code solutions
• Use generative AI tools responsibly for drafting, summarisation, analysis, and research
• Support key project workstreams including regulatory reform and policy enhancements
• Assist with research, investigations, due diligence, and escalated financial crime queries
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.
• 2+ years’ experience in anti-financial crime, compliance, or risk roles (banking, financial services, consultancy, or similar)
• Working knowledge of sanctions regimes across AU, UN, US, EU, and UK
• Understanding of AML/CTF frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., AUSTRAC/DIA)
• Experience in a Line 2 compliance or advisory function (desirable)
• Experience preparing meeting materials, minutes, and tracking actions
• Practical experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, or similar)
• Relevant undergraduate degree (risk, law, financial crime risk or similar)
• Progress toward or completion of certifications such as ACAMS, ICA, CAMS (desirable)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
