Manufacturing Engineer

• →Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development
• →Plans, conducts, and technically directs projects or phases of significant projects.
  • →Analyzes, evaluates and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems 
  • →Establishes and defines the theoretical basis and principles which should apply, the empirical test procedures to be used and the estimated time, expenses, and manpower for completion
  • →Reviews project progress and evaluates results
  • → Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis
  • →Specifies materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of technical projects 
  • →Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

• →May provide technical consultation to technical staff, other organizations and management at senior levels

• →Uses skill as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways
• →Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• →Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• →Interacts with senior internal employees.  Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
• →Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a “US Person” (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)

• BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
• 5-7 years in a mechanical design role

• SolidWorks 3D CAD experience, Standard ANSI drafting practices
• Familiarity with production methods
• Significant finite element analysis

• Knowledge Based Product Development
• IFS Overview
• Quality Systems

• In accordance with Teledyne Marine Systems safety policies
