Quantitative Trading Intern Summer 2027

Flow Traders is looking for entrepreneurial, competitive, and analytical students to join our New York Trading team as a Trading Intern for Summer 2027. Spend your summer experiencing what it’s like to be a Trader in the financial capital of the world!

The trading internship will take place over nine weeks in our New York office, beginning in early June through early August. During the program, you will have the opportunity to explore your interest in trading, while being fully immersed in the excitement on our Trading floor. As an intern, you will get a 360-degree view of Flow Traders’ role in the financial markets, how our Traders seize arbitrage opportunities, and how they work together as a team to optimize and improve their desk. Together with your intern class, you will solve problems, participate in trading simulations, and work on trading projects with our traders.

No prior experience is required. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about trading and eager to learn how to apply their quantitative skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Candidate for a Bachelor’s degree studying in the United States with a major in Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or related
• Class of 2028, preferred
• Demonstrable interest in trading and global financial markets
• Excellent mental math, quantitative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and an affinity for scientific programming or development languages
• Ability to think on your feet, reason logically and deliver under pressure
• Innovative and creative with an entrepreneurial and competitive mindset
• Attracted to a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment that offers great challenges and rewards

When it comes to salary, Flow Traders uses reliable market research to create base ranges. Where candidates will fall within the range depends on a few different factors including but not limited to level of experience, location, and specific skill set. We also consider ourselves one global team, and to demonstrate that, all employees are eligible to share in the company’s success through an annual discretionary variable remuneration allocated based on company, group and individual performance and contribution. Per the NYC Salary Transparency Law, the total compensation for this role includes a prorated base salary of $150,000.

Students enrolled in a university or college within the United States are welcome to apply to the New York Trading Internship. A similar program is offered in our Amsterdam and Hong Kong offices for students studying or living in Europe and APAC.
