Service Technician

  Summary Air Relief is an international leader in remanufacturing centrifugal air compressors for the industrial market. We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician, Level IV. This position will specialize in maintenance and repair of large horsepower centrifugal air compressors. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to excel in superior customer service and possess the ability to become a highly skilled Factory Service Technician. The position requires weekly overnight travel to various Customer facilities and reports directly to the Air Relief Service Department team leader, who coordinates the service activity schedule. Essential Functions Perform project preparation and arrange travel to Customer sites Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and commissioning at Customer sites Train Customer personnel in the proper operation of the system controls Regular attendance is an essential function of the job Perform other duties as assigned Basic computer knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel Qualifications Associate or Technical Degree preferred Five + years of field service experience with large reciprocating machinery Excellent Customer Service, communication, and problem-solving skills are required Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude as demonstrated in experience with servicing high-pressure air compressors or related rotating equipment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire diagrams Computer skills for customer service reports, travel arranging, expense and trip reporting. Possess basic hand tools used in industrial-type repairs
