ROLE SUMMARY


This position is responsible for promoting and enforcing the applicable and external HSE
requirements onboard.


JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES


• Support on the correct and timely interpretation/translations and provided as and
when required.
• Maintaining all applicable reports and logs as required.
• Promotion of safety awareness on the unit
• Safe working practices are understood and carried out by all on board.
• Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.
• Meeting activities in a proactive and constructive manner.
• Conduct safety introductions and mentoring.
• Conduct safety inspections/audits as per procedures or conduct investigations as per procedures or as directed.
• The planning and execution of safety drills and musters.
• Conduct coaching and follow up all internal training preparation for future operations.
• The planning and execution of all HSE activities onboard.
• Maintain compliance programs by Company, the client, and Governmental agencies.
• Coach people in planning work, identifying risks, communicating, problem solving, and
safety leadership.
• In the event of an accident on the unit, under the direction of the offshore Installation Manager, the position will: secure the site and take the necessary steps to preserve and document evidence, perform the initial incident investigation, participate in the investigation, and root cause analysis, act as document control or recorder of the
incident for the investigation team.
• Prepare and send reports to the QHSE team or as needed.

• Update and maintain the QHSE alerts and QHSE Notices as needed.
• Any other matters as deemed necessary by Company Management.


QUALIFICATIONS


• Preferably a bachelor's degree: Engineering or any equivalent.
• Years of experience: at least 3 years of experience on offshore drilling rigs, preferred with a strong emphasis on safety leadership or supervisory experience.
• For technical or practical personnel, at least 5 years of experience on offshore drilling rigs, preferred with a strong emphasis on safety leadership or supervisory experience.


SKILLS / ABILITIES


• Computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team player.
• Fluent English.
